Good afternoon, all, Towards the bottom of this e-mail, I have put the dates, times and locations for the upcoming Police Street Surgeries. On Friday 14th August police were called to the Normacot area due to concerns of a vehicle driving dangerously in the area. Following this police stopped the vehicle and made an arrest to due the driver of the vehicle driving dangerously and being under the influence of nitrous oxide.
Recently we had a lot of issues of fly tipping in the alleyway of Buccleuch Road where household materials have been dumped in the alleyway next to a wall. This had increased from last time. Whilst on patrol today I have attended Buccleuch Road alleyway, and the cleaning team from the council have attended and have clean the alleyway. I encourage everyone to work together in the area to keep the alleyway always cleared as emergency vehicles might need to access them as well as, children playing in the alleyways. Let’s work as a community to keep our alleyways tidy. ![]() ![]() Should anyone see anyone fly tipping in the area please report this to the council on their website. Or see any rubbish in alleyways, please report this to the council. This can be done anonymously. Fly-tipping | Fly-tipping | Stoke-on-Trent
We Knocked to Check You Locked This week I’ve have attended many properties across the area, to speak with residents to help to improve property and vehicle security, to help deter opportunistic theft across the area. Due to the recent hot weather and people leaving car windows done and windows to properties. Please therefore… On 13/08/26 I with attended with another colleague to Lyme valley to assist with a high-risk missing person. The person was thankfully located safe and well, but during the search I came across this vehicle, left unoccupied with the door fully open.
The owner was located and returned back to the vehicle to lock it – phew! However, this highlights the importance to always check you vehicle is secured and locked before you leave the vehicle unattended.
On Friday 15th August police were called to concerns for a resident in the Normacot area where their door was left open and insecured. nearby resident reported this to the police. Everyone at the property was okay. The residents who lived at the property accidently left the door open. Please ensure you check that all your windows and doors are locked before going to bed or going out to reduce the risk.
